I saw AGDtDH earlier this week and whilst I've never paid much attention to this franchise before, I did think the trailer for the 5th instalment looked pretty good. I wouldn't say that Die Hard 5 is disappointing; it has some great action scenes that really show off how amazing effects can be these days, and some good comedy moments. Bruce Willis is totally at home playing John McClane and comes out with some funny one liners. I must admit I don't remember seeing Jai Courtney before, but he puts in a good shift as the junior McClane. However, if you're looking for intelligent and riveting action, this won't be your cup of tea. Overall, I did enjoy the film but I wouldn't bother buying the DVD in the future.
Highlight: A couple breathtaking action scenes that are totally unbelievable but still incredible to watch.
Lowlight: Holes in the plot, as I said, it is not an intelligent action film.
